darkmus: I mostly see this as Kaiba’s POV, but I can see this working for either of them. Contradictions, perceptions that their relationship doesn’t work… but in the end, it actually does.

The reason I say Kaiba’s POV is because as much as Kaiba wants to be the best and seems to have a lot of things going for him, it’s not so completely true. Joey helps him become a more complete person - being the best thing to happen to him.
